The challenge
Meridian ran three rotating shifts across a 1,800-strong workforce spread over Dubai, Sharjah and Ajman. Staff relied on a patchwork of taxis and unmanaged vans, driving up cost, hurting punctuality and creating real safety concerns for late-night shift changes. HR had no visibility of who boarded, when, or whether trips ran on time.
Our solution
We mapped every employee pickup against the three shift windows and designed 11 optimised routes served by a mixed fleet of vans, minibuses and coaches. Each vehicle carries GPS tracking, and a dedicated ViaRidez coordinator manages daily operations from Meridian’s campus. Attendance and punctuality feed into a monthly report for HR and Admin.
The result
Within the first quarter, on-time arrivals rose to 99.4% and per-employee transport cost fell by 31%. Late-night safety incidents dropped to zero, and HR gained full visibility of daily ridership for the first time.
